Humanitarian organizations face a fundamental trade-off between providing relief and training their people (i.e., investing in capacity building). The generalized scarcity of qualified resources is a challenge that most institutions active in the humanitarian field face today.
USI and IOM are committed to helping humanitarian operations meet these challenges. This new program provides participants with both long term knowledge and practical skills which can be put to immediate use. The focus on concrete projects implemented in real-life settings, with support from the MASHOM team, will benefit both students and their organizations.
